Mr. Thomas talked about how things have changed in New York since Sept 11th. What to him used to be a sort of unfriendly city has now become a city of caring people. That it was good to see Christian Schools like Coulee Region Christian School to counterbalance Islam schools of religion in other parts of the world.
As a friend of President. Bush, he asked for prayers for President Bush and his administration in these crucial times.
He said that he was glad that he was had the opportunity to be at this banquet tonite, especially since he was delegated to ask for donations and pledges for the scholarship fund.
"We need more such school as this," he said, "in fact I am going to double what I had intended to give when I came here after seeing such a large and enthusiastic group of parents and friends".
After the appeal for donations, Mr. Thomas, spent time autographing books purchased by members of the audience.
It was an enjoyable and thought provoking evening.
